Another online scam is making the rounds in northern Ontario. A man from Val Caron paid a bill that he thought was from Bell online. It was for two-hundred dollars. However, the real bill from Bell arrived a few days later, which is when the victim found out the first one was a fake. Police are now warning residents to be careful when paying bills online. The phony bill only uses numbers to identify an account but real Bell Canada bills use numbers and letters in their account information.
