Temiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof is calling for a better way for patients to be transferred from hospital to hospital. The MPP says the way that patients are being moved can be problematic. When patients are moved from one hospital to another for test sometimes they have to wait for hours to be brought home by a taxi. Timmins James Bay MPP Gilles Bison says one of the reasons this is problematic is due to the lack of funding from the province. Bisson also says that there should be a rate of inflation given to hospitals every year so they don’t keep falling behind.
