An interim report on changes to Ontario’s labor laws is raising red flags for the Timmins Chamber of Commerce. The chamber says these changes could have a negative impact on businesses and employees. Chamber President Kurt Bigeau says the province should be careful not to impose a one-size- fits-all solution, like many outlined in the report. That report outlines over 200 options for the Ministry of Labour to consider when it comes to guiding the workforce. Among the options are: returning to a card-based system for union certification and scheduling requirements.
