HEAT WARNING FOR COCHRANE AND IROQUOIS FALLS

The second heat warning in as many weeks has been issued for the listening area. Temperatures are expected to sit around 30 degrees with the humidex making it feel more like 40. Watch out for symptoms of heat related illnesses which include dizziness, nausea or vomiting. Other symptoms include headaches, extreme thirst and decreased urination. If you experience any of these symptoms during the heat warning immediately move to a cool place and drink lots of water.  Be sure to make appropriate provision for house pets, keeping dogs and cats in an air conditioned environment if possible, and ensuring they have plenty of water.
