The CEO of Torr Metals says soil sample testing at the Filion gold project west of Opasatika is continuing to show encouraging results compared to other gold deposits in Northern Ontario.
Malcolm Dorsey says the company has identified four multi-kilometre gold exploration targets that are similar to the Greenstone gold mine on Highway 11 near Geraldton. Greenstone is expected to produce a bit over five metric tons of gold over the lifetime of the mine. Filion is a 261 square kilometre project west of Opasatika.
Dorsey adds that with further testing pending, Torr Metals is ready advance Filion with several drilling ready projects later this year.
