Two Kap residents facing charges in relation to bust in community

Two Kapuskasing men are facing a number of drug charges following a seizure by Ontario Provincial Police at a home on Byng Avenue in the community last Wednesday morning.

Police executed a warrant and arrested two people and seized drugs suspected to be cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone, and hydromorphone with a street value of about $4,000. Police also took an expandable baton, digital scales, packaging materials and about $31,000 in cash.

A 49 year old is facing two charges of drug possession and trafficking as well as possession of a weapon and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

A 61 year old is up on four drug possession and trafficking charges as well as possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.  They will both be in court in April.
