You have until closing time on Saturday to get your bids in on the Cochrane Public Library’s annual silent auction.
CEO Jessica Horne says all the donated items are displayed at the front of the library.
“We’ve got a great selection of some handmade items, some Christmas décor and lots of non-Christmas items as well,” she says. “And the money that we raise through the silent auction helps us to give a bursary of $250 to each of the high schools.”
You can check out all the goods and get your bid in during regular library hours, which includes Wednesday until 8:00pm and Saturday between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
Horne says you can place your bids in the binder that’s with the items.
“You must find their corresponding page in the binder and you write your name, your phone number – which is very important – and your bid and we hope that people are coming and bidding often and that they find something for a loved one and for themselves as well.”
