Wednesday’s winter storm contributed to two major collisions on Hwy. 11 in our region. OPP say four transport drivers were charged with careless driving.
At 10:30am, officers were called to a collision involving six tractor-trailers, about 120 km west of Hearst. Three of the drivers were charged: two from Brampton and one from Cambridge.
About an hour earlier near Driftwood, officers were directing traffic while a vehicle was being pulled out of the ditch. A stopped transport was hit from behind by another one. The 20-year-old driver from Saskatoon was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm to his passenger, whose injury is considered serious but not a threat to life.
