Operations at the Cochrane Power Plant on Fourth Street East will not be affected by a suppertime fire Thursday night.
Chief Richard Vallée says 20 firefighters responded to the call at about six o’clock for flames on the fifth level, near the chimney stack. A staff member poured water on it until the fire department arrived. It was quickly extinguished.
The investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.
