‘Cochrane Reads Dracula’ comes to public library Monday night

Here’s a novel way to sink your teeth into Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”, which was published in 1897.

Right in time for Halloween, an English class from Cochrane High school is teaming up with the public library for a special event.

Acting library CEO Jessica Horne (HORN) says it’s called “Cochrane Reads Dracula”.

“Mr. Martin’s Grade 12 English class will be leading a book discussion at the library and then we will be going to the Empire Theatre to watch the 1931 adaptation of the film,” says Horne.

It all begins at 6:30 next Monday night.  Costumes are encouraged… if you dare.

Horne says the class has assembled additional information for discussion.

“We have ordered in multiple copies of the book. It is copyright-free, so you can read it online for free, it’s very easy to get your hands on a copy.”

Horne says costumes are encouraged, and you can count on a good, albeit scary time.
