Low-cost spay, neuter, vaccination clinic offered for cats of low income earners

The first major project of NEON CAT – the Northeastern Ontario Cat Advocacy Team —  is on Sunday, October 6th.

One of the founding members of the Iroquois Falls group, Zoreena Liznick-Voyer, says it’s in line with its major mandate.

“It’s a low-cost spay-neuter clinic which also includes vaccinations,” she says.

The procedures will be performed by the veterinarian who visits Iroquois Falls.

“We’re gearing these clinic towards low-income individuals and families so that those cats don’t get lost in the shuffle,” Liznick-Voyer explains.

It’s $150. for a male cat and $200.00 for a female. Liznick-Voyer says you can book an appointment through the group’s Facebook page.

“We also have an email address, [email protected].”

She says NEON CAT hopes to offer clinics frequently, so that all cats are spayed or neutered and the kitten population is reduced.
