Cochrane Soccer Club readying to hit the pitch for its sophomore season

LOCATION CHANGE: Now Apitisiwan gym, not Nouveau Regard.

The Cochrane Minor Soccer Club is gearing up for the 2024 season – its second.

President Eric Southward says Tuesday is Soccer Day. Questions will be answered and registrations accepted at Ecole Nouveau Regard, between 10:00am  and noon for U-6 and U-8 age groups, and 1:00 until 3:00pm for U-10, U-12 and U-14.

And there will be soccer-related games in the gym.

“Depending on who all shows up, we can kind of adapt,” Southward states. “We can play pick-up games, we can play certain little fun soccer activities – a a little soccer bowling, things like that.”

Southward says the early registration is one sign that the club is a lot more prepared than last year.

“And we’re even looking to set up a Select program. Of certain divisions, we’ll take the best players and we will travel around, playing other communities, and even trying to go to some tournaments down south.”

The only equipment you need to supply is a pair of soccer cleats and shin pads.

More information is on the Cochrane Soccer Club Facebook page, and in the interview below.
