Internet and telephone voting are open for the municipal election in Cochrane. It’s available until eight o’clock the night of the election, Monday, October 24th.
Municipal clerk Alice Mercier says all you need to do to place your vote that way is outlined on the voter instruction letter that should have arrived in the mail by now.
“If you don’t have access to a computer to vote online,” she says, “they can also attend one of our voter assistance locations at the municipal office or the public library.”
Both of those locations are on Fourth Ave., between Railway St. and Third St.
Mercier says regardless of the method, you need the voter instruction letter that was mailed to you. She has some advice if you didn’t get one.
“I would suggest that they attend the municipal office. They would have to show their identification and an election official will issue a new voter information letter.”
The important thing is that you vote for the council that will lead Cochrane for the next four years.
