A Northern Ontario City will be Featured at the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt

Some Northern Ontario folk will be participating in one of the world’s biggest scavenger hunts.

Timmins resident Karen Hutchison says she has participated in the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt for the past seven years with teammates placed all around the world. Hutchison says this annual international aims to help local communities and give them exposure.

The scavenger hunt takes place every summer on the first week of August. She says there is a list of tasks that you earn points for once it’s complete. Hutchison says the team with the highest score wins a trip to New Zealand.

She says this year one of the tasks is to gather people with names that relate to your city together for a photo.

Hutchison is encouraging everyone named Tim in Timmins to come to the Tim Hortons on Thursday at 6:00pm. She says there will be a few other tasks she will need to complete to hopefully win.

The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt has won several Guinness World Records for things like the biggest scavenger hunt. Hutchison says it’s a fun thing to be apart of every year.
