Summer construction is underway at District School Board Ontario North East schools.
The board says crews are working on replacing the roof at Iroquois Falls Secondary School. All the schools in the district are also getting new outdoor LED signs and PA systems. The high schools will also be getting new ventilation to add smudging rooms to the school. DSB One says all the projects this summer are worth an estimated $18-million.
The board says it is excited to improve the learning environment for students heading into the new school year.
