A local company is being recognized with an international award.
Greatwhitenorth has taken home the Innovator of the Year at this year’s Dattocon. Greatwhitenorth is a Timmins outsource IT department. Chief Operating Officer of the company Alain Lefebvre says they do everything from fixing company computers to helping with budgets.
Dattocon is one of the largest Managed Service Providers conference in North America. This year the convention was held in Austin Texas.
Lefebvre says it’s amazing to receive recognition for bringing business data backups to places where it doesn’t usually fit.
Lefebvre says he learned a lot at the conference by attending meetings and meeting other IT specialists. He says coming home with an award was unexpected and amazing.
Lefebvre says the upcoming plan is to develop and strengthen their services to IT in Northern Ontario.
