Team Canada fireworks could be set off on Friday.
The City of Timmins started the firework show on Saturday night at Stars and Thunder, but quickly stopped them when the wind changed direction, blowing all the smoke and debris into town. Mayor Steve Black says the city has been monitoring the weather and wind direction to pick a day to set them off.
Black says the show is being rescheduled to be fired from the berm on Friday at 10:00pm, weather permitting. He says the city would like to see the show go off as soon as possible.
