Tickets for Stars and Thunder are selling at the door this year.
An update from day one and two from the city says gate purchases for those days last year came to $91,600, and this year it has increased to $171,000. Mayor Steve Black says this year has almost doubled last year and he is hoping this trend continues.
On Sunday night there was 3,351 people in the park and Monday night saw 5,500 people come to the festival. Black says these ticket sales need to keep up in order to break even on the festival’s $4.1-million budget.
Black says with more food vendors, amenities and a great line-up he is hoping the community comes out to support the event.

Tickets are $300 for the eight day general admission pass, $500 for a VIP eight day pass, $90 for Thursday and Friday night, $135 for Saturday and $160 for Canada Day. Tickets for kids 10 and over are $100 for the eight days and $25 for the day.Â
