Two bodies have been found in Biscotasi Lake.
The OPP says on Monday evening officers were called to a boating incident near Dead Horse Island, about 60 kilometres south west of Gogama. Officers say when they arrived they found two deceased men and an empty boat. The men have been identified as 58-year-old Dave Zelinski and 55-year-old Craig Zelinski from Hamilton. The cause of death is yet to be determined, but police say alcohol is a factor and life jackets were not worn.
Community Safety Officer Stephanie Belec says this is a reminder for everyone to wear a life jacket when out on a boat. Belec says you also have to be mindful about the alcohol factor in this incident.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled for tomorrow and the investigation is still ongoing.
