A murder suspect involved in a suspicious death has been arrested.
The Timmins Police Service says 41-year-old Richard “Ricky” Green was arrested late this afternoon without incident. Police say this is in connection to the burnt car that was found on Friday on Brundy Avenue in Timmins with human remains inside. Police say Green is being held in custody on the strength of an arrest warrant for:
• Second degree murder
• Arson to property
• Vehicle theft
• Indignity to dead body
Communication Coordinator Marc Depatie says police are not currently revealing where officers found Green. Depatie says he is custody awaiting his first appearance in Provincial Court. Those exact details have yet to be finalized and are being determined at present.
Depatie says the results and identity of the victim from the post-mortem investigation being done in Toronto will be revealed soon.
