An OPP Officer from the James Bay Detachment has earned himself a step forward in his career.
The OPP says Staff Sergeant Baldassare Nuccio has been newly promoted to a commissioned officer, assuming command of the Business and Finance portfolio for the North East region.
Nuccio, who began his OPP career in 1998 when he was deployed to Kapuskasing, says he is excited and humbled by the promotion.
He says the new position is at a regional level, which will put him in charge of multiple detachments.
Nuccio began his new role this week, working out of North Bay.
