PASTOR SAYS CULTURE IS BECOMING HOSTILE

Religious music festivals are becoming few and far between in Canada.  This according to Patrick Tousignant, Associate Pastor of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church in Cochrane, and leader of one of the bands that played at last weekend’s Heritage Music Festival in Iroquois Falls.  Tousignant says they were eager to launch the festival this year because, given the way the culture is going, he is uncertain how long public displays of Christian faith will be permitted.  More than 100 observers braved the rain last Sunday to watch half a dozen bands and soloists perform Christian music of one style or another at the park in Iroquois Falls.  Tousignant says they hope to make the Heritage Music Festival an annual event.
