An intersection that is the centre of many safety conversations is getting a new feature. The City of Timmins will be adding temporary traffic lights at the intersection of Airport Road and Westmount Boulevard. Many residents have said this intersection is dangerous for both drivers and pedestrians. As part of the installation, Airport Road will be closed from 7:00am to 5:00pm today between College Street and Lamminen Avenue. The city says the closure will be done in two parts, from College to Westmount and Westmount to Lamminen.
