A Cochrane teenager has been arrested and charged with mischief and possession of a weapon.
Police arrested a 16-year-old male from Cochrane on June 26th at roughly 12:15 am after being alerted of a suspicious man on Sixteenth Avenue.
Officers confronted the young man who lied about his identity to Police in order to avoid arrest.
The man is being charged with intent to commit theft and possession of a weapon under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The accused was held for bail, released and is scheduled to appear in court on July 18th.
