Yesterday in Cochrane dozens of participants joined in the fun for the 2017 Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run. In fact, this year’s event was more of a walk than a run. Organizer, OPP Constable Marissa McGee, said all police forces in Ontario are involved.
The event wrapped up at Valu-Mart with a charity barbecue, the proceeds from which went directly to the Special Olympics program. If you would like to make a donation, it’s not too late. Just drop off your gift to the Cochrane OPP detachment.
