The town’s accessibility committee has been recognized for its efforts along with a Deacon from Cochrane.
Kapuskasing’s Accessibility Advisory Committee was recognized by the North East Association for Community Living for promoting accessibility throughout facilities in town.
Meanwhile, Former Cochrane Deacon Richard Moore was also recognized with the same award for his efforts within the community.
Executive Director of NEACL Nathalie Cote-Tremblay says Kapuskasing’s Maureen Loaring-Reed Award Winner exemplifies the NEACL’s vision.
Cote-Tremblay says Richard Moore’s efforts are exactly what the NEACL is all about.
The NEACL have handed out the award annually since 1999, and since 2015 there has been a recipient from both Kapuskasing and Cochrane.
