According to Tembec Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs Linda Coates, their future is in the region. Coates says Rayonier intends to maintain all current forest operations in Kapuskasing, Cochrane and across Ontario. She says Rayonier has made it clear they hope to make further investments and additions to facilities in both Ontario and Quebec, as well as strengthen current operations. Tembec’s sale to Rayonier Advanced Materials bought Tembec in a friendly takeover back on May 25th for $807 million US.
