The Wynne Liberals are renewing their support for a paramedicine program in the north.
The program will benefit seniors and people with chronic health problems in the Districts of Algoma, Manitoulin, Sudbury, and Cochrane.
The program allows paramedics to give non-emergency care to people and often that treatment takes place in the patient’s home.
To date, the paramedicine program has helped more than 82-hundred patients in the four districts.
Premier Kathleen Wynne announced the program’s renewal during her visit to Elliot Lake.
