Kapuskasing will be a part of a new CBC series called “Soundcheck.”
The CBC series is filming scenes for an episode of the series this week in Kapuskasing.
Producer of the series Alain Arseneau says the reason for shooting in the area is the celebration of Canada’s 150th.
Arseneau says they have been going into smaller cities and towns and finding francophone communities all over the country.

He says they hope to connect with as many unique Canadian towns as possible.
Arseneau says the ‘Soundcheck’ series does not have an official release date yet, but will be airing sometime this summer.
