Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says the Liberals’ 15 percent surtax on foreign investors buying homes in Ontario doesn’t look at the real problem.
Fedeli says over time the Liberals created so much red tape for developers that it takes years before a housing project moves ahead.
Fedeli says that’s why we have a shortage which is forcing up the price of homes in places like Ottawa and Toronto.
But the Tory MPP says the Liberals responded to a problem they created in their typical way.

Fedeli says the problem needs careful study on how to resolve it and not another new tax.
Fedeli says solving the housing problem needs science-based data and not another tax like the Liberals are prone to do.
