(NHL)  Round 2 of the NHL playoffs got underway last night with the Edmonton Oilers beating the Anaheim Ducks 4-3 and in St Louis the Nashville Predators edged the Blues 4-3. In some off ice news the finalist for the Jack Adams award for Coach of the Year were announced.  Leafs Mike Babcock,  Edmonton’s Todd McLellan and  John Tortorella of the Columbus Blue Jackets were named.

(NBA)  Round 1 of the NBA playoffs continued last night with Washington winning a 103-99 decision over Atlanta the Wizards now have a 3-2 lead in that series and Boston ran to a 108-97 win over Chicago to take a 3-2 series lead over the Bulls.

(MLB)  The Blue Jays were rained out in St Louis last night so they will play a day night doubleheader today. Matt Latos starts this afternoon with Casey Lawrence taking the hill tonight.
