Ministry of Natural Resources Asks You To Be Aware of Wildlife While Driving

As the weather warms up, you are being asked to pay extra attention when driving.

The Ministry of Natural Resources says more animals, like bears and moose, will be travelling form their winter to their summer habitats.

Regional Specialist Heather Pridham says you need to pay extra attention for wildlife at dawn and dusk.

Pridham says if you see an animal, you should slow down and honk your horn in a series of short bursts.

Pridham says you should never swerve because you may lose control of your vehicle and cause a more serious collision.
