Algoma Manitoulin MPP Mike Mantha put the Wynne Liberals on the hot seat over the lack of development at the Ring of Fire.
Mantha says for years the province has asked the federal government to match their one billion dollar commitment for the project.
But Mantha quoted an interview Moose News did with Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre who says the Ontario Liberals have to make the first move before the feds commit.
The MPP says they’ve been talking about developing the chromite discovery for years but still haven’t produced anything.
Municipal Affairs Minister Bill Mauro says work is ongoing and adds a transportation corridor study to the Ring of Fire could lead to a second study.
