Timiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof wants the Liberals to admit they won’t sell the LCBO.
Vanthof says the LCBO makes money that goes back into programs.
The New Democrat says he doesn’t want to see history repeat itself with a government-owned asset.
But Finance Minister Charles Sousa says this won’t happen even though the president of OPSEU wants to own part of the organization.
Sousa says it’s because the LCBO has strong value that it’s not for sale and adds the Liberals intend on expanding its reach.
