(NHL)  The Toronto Maple Leafs moved into the second Eastern Conference wild-card spot by blanking the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-0 last night. In other action Winnipeg doubled the Islanders 4-2, Chicago edged Ottawa 2-1, Edmonton beat Boston 7-4 and Dallas skated to a 4-2 win over Vancouver.

(NBA)  The Toronto Raptors were crushed 123-102 by the Oklahoma City Thunder last night. The Thunder’s Russell Westbrook had 24 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds for his 34th triple double of the season.

(MLB)  In Grapefruit league action yesterday the Blue Jays dropped an 11-5 decision to the Yankees. Toronto’s spring record is now 5 wins and 12 losses.
