James Bay OPP is investigating a fatal snowmobile collision which took place at roughly 12:27 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15th, 2017.
The OPP were called to a collision of Highway 579 which involved a snowmobile and a logging truck.
Police say a group of snowmobilers were headed northbound on the stretch of logging road when they encountered a truck headed southbound at a curve along the roadway.
Officers say Doug Walker, 34 years of age from Wyoming, Ontario, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he was then pronounced dead.
Currently OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with a further investigation currently taking place, according to Police.
