The OPP is warning that there is an emergency scam or ‘grandfather scam’ taking place involving the Canadian Revenue Agency. OPP Staff Sergeant Baldassare Nuccio says the best way to avoid such a scam is to take preventative measures. Nuccio also says there is no urgency to be sending money transfers or financial information to the CRA. He also says you can always make contact back with the CRA through a separate call or communication in order to verify any claims.
