OPP CAUTION SNOW MACHINE DRIVERS

The James Bay OPP is asking snowmobilers to be cautious when riding on secondary highways.  Tembec will be operating hauling trucks and forestry equipment on roadways north and south of Highway 11 between the villages of Moonbeam and Mattice.  The OPP says it is working with Tembec to educate the public regarding the dangers of excess speed and being inattentive while operating a snowmobile.  Several “close calls” have been reported.  Snowmobile drivers can expect Tembec to be operating equipment during the winter months for several years to come.
