Two people facing bribery charges in connection with the Sudbury by-election scandal from 2015 now have trial dates set.
Well-known Sudbury businessman Gerry Lougheed Junior and Pat Sorbara, the Premier’s former deputy chief of staff, are in court this fall.
The trial begins September 7th and then breaks September 22nd. It picks up again from October 10th to the 13th and then five more days of testimony begin October 23rd.
Both were charged last year under the Ontario Elections Act and each denies that they bribed anyone.
