Scouting has long been one of the most effective means of helping children grow into adulthood with practical instruction on teamwork, nature, and an other-focused sense of community. Crystal Burkholder is one of many adult volunteers who help make the Cochrane Scouts wonderfully successful. She says she’s worked with the Scouts for about ten years and grew up in Scouting. Burkholder considers the Scouts to be something of an extended family and a great place for the training of girls and boys. Cochrane Scouts have 38 kids registered.
