MP disappointed with decision to scrap electoral reform

Timmins-James Bay M-P Charlie Angus is not happy with the Liberals decision to scrap their plans of electoral reform.

In a mandate letter for newly-appointed Democratic Institutions Minister Karina Gould, Justin Trudeau says that consultations across the country have shown that Canadians are not clamouring for a change in the way they elect the federal government.

Angus says this goes against Trudeau’s campaign promises:

The New Democrat believes the Prime Minister has failed Canadians and we have to hold him accountable for his actions.
