NewsKeep distance from snow plows say OPP SHARE ON: Rocco Frangione, contributor, Monday, Jan. 16th, 2017The OPP have some driving tips to keep in mind when you encounter snow plows on northern highways. First off, leave plenty of space between you and the plow you’re following. If a plow is coming toward you, it will usually be riding the centre line, so move to the right if possible to avoid being hit. By their very design, snow plows can kill or seriously hurt you if they’re involved in a collision. Bear in mind, snow plows are either pouring salt or sand or removing snow and that’s why they’re going well below the speed limit.
