The Montreal Canadiens got beat up on in Minnesota last night losing to the Wild 7-1. In other action Ottawa thumped Pittsburgh 4-1, Philadephia needed the shoot out for a 5-4 win over Vancouver and Edmonton edged New Jersey 3-2 in overtime.

Some baseball news, The Toronto Blue Jays have avoided arbitration with a couple of players. Darwin Barney and Ezequiel Carrera both signed contracts with the Jays yesterday.

At the Sony Open in Honolulu yesterday Justin Thomas shot  an 11-under 59 becoming just the seventh player to post a sub-60 round in PGA Tour history.
