Norovirus finds its way north

If you’re achy, have vomiting spells, diarrhea, headaches, and are feverish, chances are you have Norovirus.  The virus has now been confirmed in the north by the Sudbury and District Health Unit.  The health unit is getting quite a few reports about the gastro-intestinal illness which is highly contagious.  There is no treatment for Norovirus but the health unit says to drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration.  The virus normally spreads from people who are handling food and haven’t properly washed their hands.  The symptoms dissipate after a couple of days but you can still spread the virus to others for several more days even though you’re feeling better.
