The Montreal Canadiens used the shoot out to beat the LA Kings 5-4 last night. Meanwhile Winnipeg edged Chicago 2-1, Calgary spanked Anaheim 8-3 while Minnesota needed overtime for a 2-1 win over Edmonton.
The Oakland Raiders came back for a 38-24 win  over the Buffalo Bills in NFL action yesterday. Elsewhere Detroit beat New Orleans 28-13, the Steelers got past the Giants 24-14 and in the late game Seattle crushed Carolina 40-7.
