NewsFEDS REVIEW SERVICES UNDER OFFICIAL LANGUAGES ACT SHARE ON: Tim Rout, staff Friday, Dec. 2nd, 2016The federal government is going to review services provided under the Official Languages Act. And the Liberal MP for Nickel Belt welcomes the review. Marc Serre says one reason why many regions thrive is because residents have access to services in English and French. One immediate affect of the review is the feds putting a moratorium on bilingual offices that were scheduled to become unilingual. During the review, the government will get input from MP’s, stakeholders and the public.
