Local communities are reminding residents to avoid parking on the street overnight during the winter months. From midnight to seven in the morning any vehicles parked on the side of the street could be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense. In Cochrane you’re looking at a 45-dollar ticket, in Kapuskasing there’s a $100 fine along with the cost of towing the vehicle and in Hearst it’s $30-dollars for every hour you’re parked illegally and if you interfere with snow removal operations your vehicle may be towed immediately.
