The OPP in Kapuskasing have charged a youth from Toronto after failing to stop for police. Last week, officers tried to pull over a vehicle for a traffic offense and when they didn’t stop a pursuit began. Police called off the chase and were able to track down and locate the blue minivan in Val Rita. The 16-year-old driver and two passengers were found in a wooded area north of where the vehicle was found. The driver is scheduled to appear in court in Kapuskasing at the start of January and the other passengers were released uncharged.
