Parents and teachers from across our area are headed to Queen’s Park Monday in protest over the Wynne government’s ongoing school closures across the province. With taxes going nowhere but up, and services continuing to diminish, Felicia Fahey the Sudbury coordinator for The Ontario Alliance Against School Closures says the province’s plans involve placing undue stress on children who will have to face even longer bussing trips to and from distant schools. Fahey says as things stand now, some kids will spend more than 4 hours a day on a school bus. For more information click HERE.
