Northeastern police units are reminding parents they have an important role ensuring children use the internet safely. Police say most kids are regular internet users at home and do everything from homework to gaming to instant messaging online. The OPP is promoting the safe and responsible use of internet and are looking to raise awareness. They say while the internet provides learning opportunities, it also opens the door for the potential of cyber bullying by exploiting or threatening children.
